Family Integrity and Vigilant Law Enforcement Thwart Terrifying Plot Targeting White House UFC Event
Courageous parents step up to report their own son's massive weapons stockpile, preventing potential mass tragedy.

A devastating terrorist plot targeting the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House was successfully disrupted thanks to the vigilance of local and federal law enforcement and the courage of an Ohio family who refused to look the other way. Nineteen-year-old Tycen Proper is now in custody, alongside six other co-conspirators, after his parents discovered a massive stockpile of weapons and tactical gear purchased with his graduation money and alerted authorities.
According to reports from the Knox County Sheriff's Office, federal investigators first detected the conspiracy on June 10, working in lockstep with local sheriff's deputies to neutralize the threat before the June 14 event. Proper had spent approximately $3,000 to construct a combat-ready cache, which was kept at a family member's residence. The rapid intervention by law enforcement highlights the critical importance of domestic counter-terrorism efforts and local intelligence-sharing networks.
Proper’s arsenal, detailed in a criminal complaint, was built over several months. On January 13, he purchased an AR-15 rifle, and on June 5, he acquired a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun customized with an American flag paint job. Along with these firearms, Proper accumulated tactical gear of military-grade quality, including three plate carriers with ballistic plates rated to stop high-powered rifle rounds, a tactical bump helmet, a battle belt, over 1,000 rounds of rifle ammunition, and dozens of specialized shotgun shells.
His transition from a productive young citizen to an alleged conspirator began when he abandoned traditional civic responsibilities. According to his father, Proper quit his job to dedicate himself fully to an online group that engaged in coordinated virtual "missions" and "recons." This abandonment of work and real-world community for anonymous online circles is a growing concern for families nationwide.
Faced with her son’s radical turn and suspicious purchases, Proper’s mother demonstrated remarkable moral clarity. She physically removed the weapons from her home and called emergency dispatchers to report her son’s activities. "We took all the guns and ammo out of his room and got it off our property," she told the 911 dispatcher. Her actions ensured that when Proper returned to the room, his means of destruction were gone.
Former FBI Special Agent Nicole Parker, who attended the UFC event, commended the parents for their extraordinary courage. She revealed that the conspirators allegedly planned to execute a highly coordinated assault using explosive-laden drones and snipers to maximize casualties in the crowd. Parker emphasized that parental intervention remains one of the nation's strongest lines of defense against domestic threats.
This case highlights that preserving public safety and protecting our national institutions requires strong families willing to take responsibility, coupled with decisive, well-resourced law enforcement. As Proper and his co-conspirators face justice, the actions of his parents stand as a model of civic duty and moral courage under the most painful of circumstances.
