Law and Order Restored: Trump Administration's Surge Resulting in Over 10,000 Violent Gang Arrests
With ICE 'turbocharged' by the Secure America Act, federal authorities are successfully purging neighborhoods of transnational criminals.

In a major victory for national sovereignty and public safety, the Trump administration announced Wednesday that federal authorities have apprehended over 10,000 suspected gang members since President Donald Trump took office for his second term. This landmark achievement underscores the administration's unwavering commitment to cleaning up American streets and removing the violent transnational criminals who threaten domestic peace.
According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the individuals arrested in this sweeping law-enforcement campaign are accused of heinous offenses. The charges include murder, assault with a deadly weapon, drug trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, robbery, and extortion. These operations represent a concerted effort to dismantle dangerous gang networks that have taken root in American communities.
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin commended the brave officers of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for delivering on the president's promise to restore order. Mullin did not mince words when discussing the political failures that allowed these criminals to enter the country in the first place, laying the blame squarely on the previous administration's lenient border management.
"Many of these gang members were released into our country by Joe Biden," Mullin stated, emphasizing the devastating consequences of past policies. "These vicious criminals murdered, assaulted, robbed, and terrorized innocent Americans for sport." The secretary's comments highlight the stark contrast between the current administration's proactive stance and the open-border policies of the past.
Mullin credited the Secure America Act with giving law enforcement the vital tools necessary to carry out these operations. He noted that the act has "turbocharged" ICE, enabling agents to aggressively track down and arrest violent gang members and criminal aliens directly from American neighborhoods where they had previously operated with impunity.
Federal officials highlighted the arrest of Javier Hernandez Rosas as the historic 10,000th apprehension of the campaign. DHS identified Rosas as an illegal immigrant from Mexico and an alleged member of the notorious MS-13 gang. Rosas's criminal background includes prior convictions for cocaine possession, alongside previous arrests for weapons possession and abduction, illustrating the dangerous profile of the individuals targeted.
This enforcement milestone is supported by record-breaking operations at the southern border. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced that its active force has grown to 21,471 agents, marking the highest staffing level in the agency's 102-year history. This surge in personnel has allowed federal authorities to establish unprecedented control over the nation's borders.
As a result of these robust policies, the administration reports that illegal immigration has plummeted by more than 87% compared to October 2024 levels. President Trump has noted that tougher ICE enforcement is successfully driving violent criminals out of the country, citing a combination of reverse migration, foreign prison releases, and highly effective, expanded metro raids.
